Since 1998, ITI has evolved from a small public/private partnership to one with a leadership role in catalyzing partnerships for trachoma control at the national and global levels.  In 2005, ITI developed a Strategic Plan (for the period 2006 -2010) to guide its efforts over the next five years.

ITI’s Strategic Plan focuses on three key areas of action for trachoma control and elimination:

1. Global Leadership;
2. Enabling Governments; and
3. Engaging New Countries.

ITI’s New Operating Model

The Board of Trustees and ITI staff are exploring a new operating model for trachoma control.  The new operating model will be designed to maximize trachoma control efforts and meet the GET 2020 goal.
