Congo, he coordinated 3 emergency primary health care projects, trained 98 HIV/AIDS peer educators and 19 HIV/AIDS counselors. While working with the Cameroon Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Abbenyi developed and implemented a Guinea Worm Eradication Program that eradicated the disease and earned him the Carter Presidential Award.  He holds a Master of Science in Community Health from the University of Montreal and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Yaoundé. Dr. Abbenyi is fluent in English, French, Swahili and Duala.
