Josh Rosenfeld, Manager, Logistics
Josh Rosenfeld works exclusively on ITI’s administration of Pfizer-donated Zithromax. As Logistics Manager, Mr. Rosenfeld works closely with Pfizer Philanthropy and ITI partners to produce successful Zithromax forecasts and ensure that the drug is distributed to partner countries with the highest level of efficiency, this includes transportation, storage, and administration.  In addition to overseeing the logistical steps of the drug administration program, Mr. Rosenfeld also coordinates with each country’s staff to project annual Zithromax needs.  In 2007, over 33 million doses of Zithromax were administered to effectively treat people in 15 trachoma endemic countries.

Prior to joining ITI, Mr. Rosenfeld worked with USAID in Madagascar where he analyzed the organization’s water/sanitation program and provided policy recommendations for improvements to further prevent infectious disease transmission.  He also worked at Direct Relief International where he helped determine the ability of organizations in Africa and Asia to utilize specific health products and to estimate the availability of pharmaceuticals for future disaster relief shipments.  From 2000-2002, Mr. Rosenfeld worked for the Peace Corp in Mali as a community health educator on HIV/AIDS and malaria. Mr. Rosenfeld received his Master of Public Policy and Master of Public Health from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and holds a BA in International Studies from Kenyon College. He is fluent in French and English and has advanced knowledge of Bambara.
